Key Additions: Randy Foye, Nate Robinson, Darrell Arthur, J.J. Hickson,

Key Departures: Kosta Koufos, Andre Iguodala, and Danilo Gallinari (Injured)

The Nuggets are a team which has undergone much turnover in the last several months. Gone are both the coach of the year George Karl and executive of the year Masai Ujiri. Losing such integral parts of a franchise cannot be overstated in importance. Never the less Denver has made its decisions and now must look to move on from what was a very successful regular season and a very disappointing post season.

Last season the Nuggets made their mark by being one of the most fast paced and dynamic teams in the league. They were run and gun but the crazy part was the gun aspect was them constantly scoring in the paint and usually right at the rim. Denver was the best team in the league last season at scoring in transition which, paired with an incredible home record at a home where no team will be able to keep up with you due to its high altitude, is a recipe for a boat load of wins. Unfortunately Danilo Gallinari went down just six games before the start of the playoffs which was a severe blow to be absorbed that late in the season.

The future in Denver is not, however, completely dim as they have done their best to reload and look onto this season. Bringing in Nate Robinson will be a good signing for this team, at least on the offensive end as this is a little run and gun spark plug guy who will fit perfectly into this fast paced offense. He does however present a problem of lessening the already below average height the Nuggets have on the perimeter. Much will depend on the ability of athletic freak of nature JaVale McGee being able to hold down the starting center position competently throughout the course of an entire season. Gallinari will also have to come back at at something close to 100% this season for the Nuggets to do well in the post season. With their lack of size and super fast paced offence there is little chance of Denver improving on the defensive end. All in all this year look like a step back from what was, last season, a very good team.

Projection: 44-38
