The Green Bay Packers are coming off yet another excellent season as Aaron Rodgers had a great season and lead his team to the NFC North title in addition to making a very respectable playoff run. The Packers come into this season as the consensus favorites in the NFC North once again and with good reason as they remain one of the best teams in the league.
Preview: The Packers have one of the best QBs in the league in Aaron Rodgers who really has all the tools you can ask for in a starting QB and plenty of weapons surrounding him. The Packers are a team that focuses offensively on passing the ball but their RB corps was solid last season with James Starks and Eddie Lacy both producing well whether running the ball or catching passes out of the backfield. As far as WRs go the Packers are in good shape with Jordy Nelson who is one of the best in the business as their number one option and Randal Cobb and Davante Adams there to help spread the defense thin. The offensive line is looking like a very big strength for the Pack as they have all five starters back from a season ago giving them solid front to protect Rodgers.
Defensively the Packers do not have a great pass rush but do have solid pieces capable of hindering the inside running game like B.J. Raji. Mike Daniels is great given his size and has averaged six sacks per season over his last two years. Clay Matthews is the key play maker for this Packers defense and will be relied on to help out where ever needed as he has shown an ability to play both inside and outside linebacker as well as effectively pass rush. In the secondary Green Bay did lose some important pieces and could need some work unless their rookie acquisitions can step up to the challenges of the NFL without missing much.
Projected Record: 11-5
