The Golden State Warriors, coming off a game against the Memphis Grizzlies last night, go on the road for their second game in two nights as they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves who have dropped three in a row and are starting to break down somewhat internally.
The Warriors have talked about having somewhat shifted focus this season as they are not hunting for a ton of regular season wins but are instead focused on being ready to fire on all cylinders once the playoffs roll around. It has not yet been stated but I feel that it is extremely likely that significant players end up resting for this game.
The Timberwolves come into this game needing to find some way to stay competitive on a nightly basis, something that everyone though would exist with an improved defense under their new head coach. The young Timberwolves don’t exactly seem to be responding well to Thibs this season and you have to wonder if it is simply not a good fit between personnel and the head coach now in charge.
Take the Timberwolves and the points in this one as I expect the Warriors to be resting players and with the talent they have on this team they should at least be able to keep things competitive on their home court.
