The Tulsa Golden Hurricane have been looking a lot better as of late, especially on the defensive side of the ball, as they’ve gone on to win three straight coming into this matchup on the road against UALR. Tulsa was able to get past Oral Roberts on the road in their last outing beating the Golden Eagles by a final of 79-65. Tulsa opened the season slow, but this group has gotten back on track since leading scorer Jaleel Wheeler was implemented back into the lineup. Wheeler has coincided with the three game winning streak leading the team averaging 15.3 points per game.
Little Rock had tournament success a season ago and this group is hoping to make a return to the Big Dance coming out of the Sun Belt. Little Rock hasn’t gone against a very challenging slate so far this season and this’ll be a better test for the Trojans this afternoon. The Trojans have opened the season 5-2 overall with defeats coming against Idaho and Pepperdine. In their last outing Little Rock was able to slide past Central Arkansas picking up the win by a final of 89-87. This isn’t the same group we saw last season, but still a threat come conference play.
We like the boost we’ve seen from Tulsa on both sides of the ball over the past couple of weeks and this is another great chance for the Golden Hurricane to pick up a road win. Little Rock has clearly taken a step back from where they were a season ago and have even fallen at home this year. Side with Tulsa and the points as a solid bet.
