The Milwaukee Panthers have looked a bit more competitive over the past week, but this group has largely had a lot of struggles on the offensive side of the ball this season standing 328th in the nation in scoring average. In their last outing Milwaukee came up short on the road against Montana, losing to the Grizzlies by a final of 69-75. Milwaukee is going back to back on the road, which is never easy, and it’ll be interesting to see if the Panthers have what it takes to keep pace with this Montana State squad. Milwaukee has taken a number of blowout losses this season and this group lacks strong offensive options with their leading scorer Cody Wichmann averaging just 11.1 points.
The Montana State Bobcats have impressed early on in the year building their success on the offensive side of the ball. The Bobcats have opened the year 5-3 overall and in their last outing Montana State came through for us against the spread losing to Utah on the road by a final of 84-92. This group boasts some of the better offensive threats in the Big Sky and this squad currently ranks 41st in the nation averaging 83.5 points per game. Tyler Hall is a special talent for the Montana State basketball program and he’s led the team averaging 22.6 points per game.
There’s a huge discrepancy on the offensive side of the ball in this matchup and Milwaukee is likely going to have a tough time keeping pace in this road battle. Montana State has been putting up some big numbers and behind Tyler Hall the Bobcats could compete near the top of the Big Sky. Side with the Bobcats to win and cover as the best bet in this one.
