Longwood hasn’t looked great out of the gate standing 2-4 overall heading into this tough upcoming road trip that will see the Lancers go against Creighton followed by George Mason. It’s tough to forget Longwood’s opener at home as the Lancers fell to Maine by a final of 58-80. Longwood hasn’t just been having inconsistent offensive results as this group ranks 261st in the nation in scoring and 263rd in total defense. Darrion Allen has led the team averaging 15.7 points per game.
The Creighton Bluejays picked up an impressive win in a tough road environment in their last outing as Creighton went on to beat in-state foe Nebraska by a final of 77-62. Creighton had all the ingredients for a successful campaign coming into the year and the Bluejays have been living up to their billing and then some standing 9-0 heading into this matchup. Creighton is one of the most dangerous offensive teams in the nation and when this unit gets going they’re nearly impossible to slow down. Creighton has offensive threats all over the court and K-State transfer Marcus Foster has led the way averaging 18 points per game.
If Creighton brings in the right mindset, which could be difficult coming off the emotional win at Nebraska, then the Bluejays should be able to win this one by a large margin behind their elite home court advantage. We like for Creighton to pull away from the Lancers given their huge edge on the offensive end as they go on to win and cover the spread.
