Notre Dame is heading into their third straight true road game in ACC play and fatigue could play a factor in this one for the Irish. With that said Notre Dame has been far surpassing expectations this season standing 16-2 overall and 5-0 in the ACC with some of their better conference wins coming against Louisville at home and their last two outings on the road against Miami and Va Tech. Notre Dame might not be the most imposing team down low, but this is an efficient group that ranks 40th in the nation in scoring and 62nd in total defense. The Irish have 4 players averaging over 13 points per game with Bonzie Colson leading the attack averaging 15.8 points per game.
Florida State came into the year with a lot of expectations given their immense amount of talent and the Seminoles have been playing up to their skill standing 16-2 overall and 4-1 in the ACC. Florida State likes to play fast as this group ranks 2nd in the conference in scoring average putting up 86.5 points per game on average. After coming off recent wins against Virginia and Duke, the Seminoles finally came up short in their last outing losing to North Carolina on the road in a game that was largely competitive throughout. Florida State has some quality depth and this unit has been led by returner Dwayne Bacon who’s averaging 17.8 points per game.
When Florida State is playing up to their ceiling they can beat anyone in the nation and we’re looking forward to seeing what this group is able to accomplish come the NCAA tournament. Notre Dame is heading into their third straight road game in ACC play and that should be a factor in this matchup. We like FSU to take care of business in this one as they go on to win and cover the spread.
