The Northeastern Huskies have been tremendously impressive as of late winning on the road against teams like Vermont, Michigan State, and Oakland to close out the nonconference. The Huskies kept things rolling in their league opening game as Northeastern got past William & Mary at home by a final of 84-64. The Huskies are playing with a lot of confidence right now and this group is starting to look like a threat to challenge for the CAA title. T.J. Williams has stepped up leading the team averaging 21.1 points per game.
The Drexel Dragons have been a bit more competitive this season standing 6-8 overall coming off a poor campaign a season ago. Drexel is lacking in the quality win department and this group fell short in their last outing losing to the struggling James Madison by a final of 67-78. Drexel should be happy to get back home after playing in their last 3 outings on the road and this is the Dragons’ first home game since mid December. Drexel can spread the ball around with 4 players averaging in double figures and Rodney Williams leads the way averaging 16.5 points per game.
We really like what we’ve seen out of this Northeastern squad over the past month of play and the Huskies are playing with a lot of confidence as they head into the thick of conference play. We like Northeastern to come through and ride their current momentum as they go on to cover this spread.
