The Idaho State Bengals have been a major disappointment this season as the Bengals were hoping to take the next step in their development, but that hasn’t been the case as Idaho State stands 4-14 overall and 1-4 in conference. Idaho State has had their issues on both sides of the ball ranking around 290th in the nation in both scoring average and total defense. The Bengals were finally able to snap out of their 8 game losing streak against D1 competition getting past Northern Colorado in their last outing on the road by a final of 73-69. A lot of Idaho State’s players have taken a step back this season and this group is led by Ethan Telfair who’s averaging 16.7 points per game.
North Dakota is becoming a real threat in the Big Sky standing 10-7 overall and 5-2 in conference, and this group has been showing a lot of fight winning 5 of their last 6 games. North Dakota picked up a huge win in their last outing getting past Weber State at home by a final of 83-77 and the goal for this group has to be resisting complacency coming off their recent successes. North Dakota has been one of the more dangerous teams on both sides of the ball ranking 3rd in the conference in scoring and 4th in total defense. The Fighting Hawks have been led by veteran Quinton Hooker who’s averaging 18.4 points per game.
Idaho State was able to come through and break their losing streak in their last outing, but things get tougher for the Bengals today going back to back on the road and facing a tougher opponent. North Dakota is coming off a great home win against Weber State and we like for the Fighting Hawks to come through again today as they go on to win and cover the spread.
