Florida State put up some strong results this past week at home getting past both Notre Dame and Louisville in competitive contests and it’ll be interesting to see how Florida State is able to continue to focus as they head out into the start of their three game road swing. Florida State came up short in their last outing on the road falling to North Carolina by a final of 83-96 and in their only other road game thus far in ACC play FSU got past Virginia by a final of 60-58. Florida State is loaded with intriguing talent and this group likes to play fast ranking 13th in the nation in scoring compared to 146th in total defense. FSU is led by Dwayne Bacon who’s averaging 17.4 points per game.
Georgia Tech didn’t always have the best results back during the nonconference, but the Yellow Jackets have been surprising everyone with how consistently competitive they’ve been thus far in the ACC. Georgia Tech has picked up some great conference wins winning at NC State, while also taking care of business at home against Clemson and North Carolina. In their last outing Georgia Tech came up short on the road against Virginia losing by a final of 49-62 and this came on the heels of a 1 point loss to Virginia Tech in their previous outing. The Yellow Jackets have taken pride in their roll as spoiler in the ACC and this group has shown great growth through the first few months of the regular season.
Florida State picked up some great wins this past week at home and it’ll be interesting to see if the Seminoles get a bit complacent as they head out on the road. Georgia Tech has been consistently competitive in conference over the past couple weeks and we expect this trend to continue today for the Yellow Jackets at home as they go on to cover the spread.
