The Wisconsin Badgers have been putting up some solid results so far this season standing 12-2 overall with their only defeats coming against the likes of Creighton and UNC. Wisconsin is one of the clear cut favorites to win the Big Ten and the Badgers won their conference opener getting past Rutgers at home by a final of 72-52. The Badgers have been building a lot of momentum, especially on the offensive end where Wisconsin has seen an uptick in production. Wisconsin still leans on their defense however as this group ranks 7th in the nation in points allowed. The Badgers have been led by veterans Koenig and Hayes who’re both averaging around 14 points per game.
The Indiana Hoosiers staked their flag in the ground early on in the year with their opening win against Kansas, but the Hoosiers have taken a slight step back as of late. Indiana is coming off back to back losses first losing at home to Nebraska, followed by a 15 point neutral site loss against Louisville in their last outing. Indiana has tested themselves well so far this season and the Hoosiers currently stand 10-4 overall heading into another difficult test. Indiana has shown the ability to put up some strong offensive numbers this season ranking 13th in the nation in scoring average and veteran James Blackmon Jr. has led the way averaging 17.3 points per game.
This should be a very competitive matchup in the Big Ten today with Indiana getting the home court edge against the veteran Badgers. Indiana is almost desperate for a win at this point, but that’s no guarantee in today’s contest. Wisconsin’s veteran roster won’t be intimidated by the road atmosphere and we like the Badgers to come through as they go on to cover the spread.
