The Siena Saints fell flat at home in their last outing losing to Iona by a final of 66-77 and the Saints have been far less consistent than most were expecting coming into the year now standing 9-13 overall and 6-5 in the MAAC. Siena was the preseason pick to finish 2nd in the MAAC, but this group hasn’t looked close to those expectations for most of the regular season. Siena doesn’t really have strengths on either side of the ball ranking over 200th in the nation in both scoring average and total defense. The Saints have been led by Marquis Wright who’s averaging 14.8 points per game.
Outside of their two losses against Monmouth, the Quinnipiac Bobcats have been consistently competitive in the MAAC this season standing 5-6 in conference with an 8-13 mark overall. Quinnipiac has regained their standing as one of the best rebounding teams in the nation after getting off to a slow start to the year in this category. Quinnipiac pounds the offensive boards which gives them a lot of second chance opportunities and the Bobcats currently rank 110th in the nation in scoring average compared to 332nd in total defense. Mikey Dixon is a player to watch in the MAAC in the coming years as the young freshman leads the team averaging 16.6 points per game.
This is a revenge game for Quinnipiac who played very competitively in their loss on the road against Siena earlier in conference play. Siena looked very bad on the offensive end in their last outing against a poor Iona defense and it’ll be interesting to see if the Saints have any more luck today on the road. We like Quinnipiac to bounce back as they go on to compete hard and cover this spread.
Quinnipiac +1 100
