The Hawaii Warriors knew they were going to be in a massive rebuild this season, but this group has at least been respectable standing 6-7 overall. Hawaii has flipped their strength this season leaning a lot more on their defense which ranks 43rd in the nation in points allowed compared to their offense which ranks 328th in the nation in production. Hawaii has a tough time going on the road given the travel and we’re not all that high on this group this year on the road given their rebuilt lineup. Hawaii has been a work in progress on the offensive side of the ball and the Warriors have been led by Noah Allen who’s currently averaging 11.8 points per game.
Cal State Fullerton hasn’t quite lived up to the expectations we had set for them during the preseason, but this group can still finish higher in the Big West than we’ve seen from them in recent years. CS Fullerton currently stands 6-7 overall coming off a really nice 77-72 win over Portland in their last outing at home. We’ve been very high on guard Tre’ Coggins throughout his career at both Air Force and now CS Fullerton and the veteran guard has been the beacon of hope for this program leading the team averaging 20.4 points per game Coggins was single handidly responsible for the come from behind win against Portland and it’s head scratching that this team doesn’t feature their star guard even more.
Hawaii is rarely overwhelming with their results on the road in conference given the travel and this group will have their hands full in this one. CS Fullerton pick up some confidence and momentum with their last win in extra time against Portland and we like for the Titans to get off on the right foot in the Big West as they go on to win and cover this spread.
