Tennessee wasn’t able to come through for us the other day at home against Arkansas, but we’re still bullish on this progressing young roster. Tennessee did come through for us in a big way in their last road contest beating Texas A&M by a final of 73-63 in what was one of the best results of the year for the Vols. Tennessee has proven they can get the job done on the road winning recently at ETSU and losing on the road against North Carolina by just 2 points. The Vols have shown great progress so far this season and head coach Barnes has this group heading in a positive direction. Robert Hubbs has stepped up to lead this balanced attack averaging 15.2 points per game.
Florida has looked like one of the best teams in the SEC so far this season standing 11-3 overall and 2-0 in conference with their SEC opening wins coming against Ole Miss at home and Arkansas on the road. Florida’s only defeats so far this season came out of conference against the likes of Gonzaga, Duke, and Florida State, which are all top tier opponents. The Gators are a well coached unit that puts in the effort on both ends ranking 68th in the nation in total defense and 78th in scoring average. This Florida squad also brings a balanced offensive attack and KeVaughn Allen has stepped up to lead the Gators averaging 14.1 points per game.
Tennessee has actually played extremely well on the road over the past month which is a great sign for a developing unit. Florida should be able to take care of business on their home court and get the win, but with getting this many points the Vols feel like a very strong value bet on the road.
