able to carry this group on a consistent basis as the Spartans now stand 13-9 overall and 5-4 in the Big Ten. Michigan State was able to break out of their three game losing streak the other day picking up an important 70-62 win at home against Michigan. The Spartans have been up and down on the offensive side of the ball this season as this group tends to play off their defense. Michigan State ranks 78th in the nation in points allowed compared to 219th in scoring average. Freshman phenom Miles Bridges leads the team averaging 16.3 points per game.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers have shown a high ceiling at times in Big Ten play and this developing group could have a very bright future if they stick together. Nebraska picked up a great win in their last outing taking down Purdue by a final of 83-80 and the Huskers utilized their home court advantage on their way to picking up the upset win. With the win Nebraska improved to 4-5 overall in conference and their win against Purdue ended a tough competitive 5 game losing streak for the Huskers. Nebraska has been led by veteran Tai Webster who’s averaging 18.1 points per game.
This should be a very competitive game today in Lincoln between the Huskers who have a strong home court advantage and have shown they can compete with the home talented teams in the Big Ten, and the Spartans who’re in desperate need of picking up some more wins for their resume. Nebraska came through for us at home against Purdue and we like the Huskers to come through again today as they go on to cover the spread.
