San Diego is trying to push their way into the top 3 of the WCC this season and that won’t be easy with Gonzaga, Saint Mary’s, and BYU all still looking like the favorites to finish in that respective order. San Diego has shown positives signs this season standing 12-3 overall and 3-0 in conference. In their last outing San Diego came through on the road beating Portland on the road by a final of 81-74. The Toreros are a defense first group ranking 17th in the nation in points allowed and having a plus/minus of +10. Saint Mary’s veteran group had high expectations coming into the year and the Gaels have largely been impressive standing 14-2 overall and 3-0 in conference. The Gaels bring a higher offensive threat ranking 61st in the nation in scoring and 52nd in total defense. Saint Mary’s has a plus/minus of about +15 points per game. Clearly Saint Mary’s is going to be a tough out today on their home court, but we also feel the Toreros aren’t getting enough respect from Vegas. Take San Diego and the generous amount of points as a solid value bet.
