We faded San Diego State in their last outing on the road against Fresno State and the Aztecs fell flat again to the Bulldogs losing by a final of 61-79. SDSU has had their issues against some of the upper tier teams in the MWC and the Aztecs are working their way through another disappointing campaign standing 13-9 overall and 5-6 in conference. San Diego State has fallen in 4 straight road games in the Mountain West, including 4 straight, with their last 2 coming by double figures.
Nevada had high expectations coming into the year and the Wolf Pack have generally lived up to their billing standing 20-5 overall and 9-2 in conference. Nevada doesn’t have a huge margin of error if they want to be an at-large squad so the Wolf Pack’s recent losses against Wyoming and UNLV hurt. Nevada has been a tough team to beat on their home court this season and the Wolf Pack have been a well balanced team ranking 28th in the nation in scoring and 162nd in total defense.
San Diego State fell flat on the offensive end in their outing against Frenso State and we see the Aztecs having similar issues today against Nevada. We look for the Wolf Pack to come in refocused off their UNLV defeat as they come through at home and cover this moderate spread.
