Both of these teams could use a win today for their respective at-large resumes and we expect a big time effort from both teams as a result. Baylor has been trending up as of late winning 3 straight including a great 80-64 win at home against Kansas the other day. Baylor is starting to play with a lot of confidence and the Bears already have a win against the Horns under their belt beating Texas earlier in league play at home by a final of 69-60.
Texas mirrors the record of Baylor at this point in the season standing 15-10 overall and 5-7 in conference. There are 4 teams sitting at 5-7 in the Big 12, and not all of these squads will make the NCAA tournament, so now is the time to separate from the pack for these squads. Texas didn’t look great this past week losing at home to Kansas State by 3 point followed by a 16 point loss on the road against TCU.
This past week Baylor showed they could get the job done on the road beating Oklahoma State by a final of 67-56, and in what should be another defensive battle with points coming at a premium, we like the streaking Bears to compete hard as they go on to cover this small spread.
