Princeton has had some tough results this past week losing back to back games at home against Brown and Penn with their last defeat against the Quakers coming by 17 points. Princeton hasn’t lived up to their billing up to this point in the Ivy standing 11-10 overall and 3-3 in conference. Princeton will bring in the offensive edge into this matchup, but Harvard has the clear edge in terms of their total defense. Princeton ranks 194th in the nation in scoring and 130th in points allowed.
Harvard has been a consistent team this season that has found success slowing things down into the half court ranking 57th in the nation in total defense compared to 328th in scoring. Harvard went against a tough nonconference slate which has prepped the Crimson well for action in the Ivy League as Harvard has improved to 10-11 overall and 5-1 in conference. Harvard has played their last 5 games on the road and now with a home heavy slate down the stretch the Crimson have a great chance to make a run at the league regular season title.
Princeton will have their hands full today as they head out on the road coming off two disappointing home upset defeats this past week. We like Harvard to continue to play well as they shift back to their home court as the Crimson go on to cover this small spread.
