Cornell didn’t have a whole lot of consistent success this season, but the Big Red were able to do just enough to get into the Ivy League tournament. Cornell stands just 12-15 overall and 6-8 in conference ranking 91st in the nation in scoring compared to 332nd in total defense. During their last week of action in the regular season Cornell fell on the road to Harvard by a final of 88-98, followed by a needed 86-75 win over bottom team Dartmouth.
It took some time for Harvard to hit their stride this season finishing out the regular campaign with a mark of 17-12 overall and 12-2 in conference. Harvard went 2-0 against Cornell during the regular season and the Crimson should have a lot of confidence coming into today’s third matchup with the Big Red. Harvard was highly impressive in their last game getting past Columbia at home by a final of 93-74 and that the kind of result any group would want to take into postseason action.
Harvard might not be the flashiest team, but when going against poor defensive opponents, the Crimson have the talent to put up some big numbers. We like Harvard to take advantage of the Cornell defense again today as the Crimson go on to cover the spread.
