The New Orleans Saints, coming off a blowout win over the Los Angeles Rams, play host to the Detroit Lions who are coming off a nail biter of a win over the Vikings on Thanksgiving Day.

The Saints are in a pretty tough spot right now as they are going to really need a solid end to their season if they are going to find a way to win their division and make the playoffs. The Saints are running into the same problem they have had for all of the recent past as they once again have not defense and are relying completely on Brees and the offense to carry them to wins.

The Detroit Lions come into this game pretty comfortably atop the NFC North and even with five games to go should feel pretty good about their chances of holding off the Vikings and the Packers. The Lions are on a three game winning streak and while they have not really been facing elite offenses they are doing well on both sides of the ball, something that has not been usual in the NFL this season.

Take the Lions and the points in this one as I like their chances of either winning this game or at least keeping things very close against the defenseless Saints.

a shoot out game here as back and forth both teams will go -- in the dome is equal for both as Lions are domed as well -- I like Drew Brees in the shoot out with a 4th quarter touch down late to seal the deal == 6 point spread looks to be a touch down cover as balls will be flying all over the Mercedes-Benz Dome

Wouldn't be so sure about Detroit here. Saints defense has spurts of good play. If Saints jump on them early don't know if Lions have the firepower to keep up.
