The New Jersey Devils will take on the Detroit Red Wings at Joe Louis Arena on Tuesday. The Detroit Red Wings are coming off a 0-4 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday. The New Jersey Devils last played on Thursday and we could see some rink rust from them.

Jared Coreau will man the pipes for the Detroit Red Wings in this one. He was superb in his most recent game, posting a 0.918 save percentage. Coreau has been poor over his last 5 games, posting a 0.879 save percentage.

Cory Schneider should start in net for this game. In his latest game, he was perfect, allowing 0 goals. He has posted a 3.72 GAA and 0.874 SV% in his last 9 games against the Detroit Red Wings.

The Detroit Red Wings need to work on their structure as they've had trouble moving the puck up the ice this season. The Detroit Red Wings are 10-11-4 when playing at home this season. The New Jersey Devils have been okay when playing on the road with a 10-12-6 record. The Detroit Red Wings have gone 6-6 when playing Eastern-Metropolitan opponents this season. The New Jersey Devils have gone 6-7 when playing Eastern-Atlantic opponents this season. The Detroit Red Wings have been lackluster when playing a bad team, posting 11 wins and 11 losses.

Playing on the road is always tough, but we like the chances that the New Jersey Devils have with this match-up.

two last place reams go head to head -- given that both are nearly hopelessly buried in last place I'll just bite on home ice for the Red Wings -- Devils lost their last 2 games and Red Wings just their last game -- so Redwings win .......why not ? One goal margin win though maybe OT as well
