According to Blake Griffin "Lob City" is dead; the Clippers however have never looked better. The impact of bringing in Doc Rivers, one of the best coaches in the league, cannot be overestimated. Everyone knew Chris Paul would stay if given a situation which would allow him to win and did the Clippers front office ever give him what he wanted. Getting not one but two very good consistient long range threats in J.J. Redick and Jared Dudley will do wonders for this team. Blake Griffin has always been a competent and willing passer and having those kind of weapons on the perimeter will give him pleanty of reason to pass out of paint and take fewer contested mid range jump shots. Carl Crawford should once again contend for the 6th man of year award and its being whispered that DeAndre Jordan's free throw stroke may be improving if only slightly. Defensively Doc Rivers will be looking to build on the height and freakish athletecism of Griffin and Jordan and seems to be envisoning Jordan as a young Kevin Garnett in the making. If Doc can get them to buy into his system, and there is nothing to make anyone think he can't, the Clippers look to be a top ten defense to go along with having one of the most potent offenses in the league.
