The NFL fantasy season is in full swing and chances are your roster has suffered an injury or two and you could use some help from the waiver wire.
Let's take a look at some guys likely floating on the waiver wire that could help your team through bye weeks and injuries
At quarterback consider grabbing Jaguars QB Blake Bortles. Bortles is available in most fantasy leagues and will start for the Jags Week 4 and most likley for many weeks to come. Bortles is a rookie QB who will go through some growing pains and you may not want to start him every week, but the Jags are probably going to go with Bortles as he is the future of the franchise.
If you are in a keeper league Bortles presents an even bigger value, given the fact you can have him on your roster as a late round pick in future years.
Bortles does have some weapons to work with as rookie WR Allen Hurns has looked good and Cecil Shorts is now healthy. If the Jags could get the run game going Bortles would be even more effective. The good news is the Jags will also be playing from behind a lot so they will need to throw the ball.
At tight end consider picking up Owen Daniels. Daniels will now be the main TE target in Baltimore with Dennis Pitta likely out for the year.
Daniels was already having a decent season with his former head coach running the Baltimore offense. Now there will be more targets and snaps for Daniels to put up some nice fantasy numbers with the always steady Joe Flacco at QB.
Hopefully you can avoid the injury bug and manage without any key players you will be missing during week 4 byes and I will be back next week with another fantasy football update.
