Well the injury bug struck a few teams again yesterday and has left some opportunities for new players to step up and get more touches and fantasy points.
At running back the Broncos lost Monte Ball to a groin injury that could cause him to miss signficant time, leaving the door open for Ronnie Hillman to get some touches. While the Broncos tend to rely on the pass with Peyton Manning at QB, Hillman would be a nice addition for anyone who needs some depth at the RB position.
Brenden Oliver of the Chargers put together a very nice afternoon after Donald Brown was lost to a concussion. Regardless of how quickly Brown gets cleared to return, look for Oliver to be a big part of the offense next week as the Chargers face the lowly Raiders. Oliver will be a good start for anyone who needs an RB because of injury or bye week issues.
Andre Williams saw quite a bit of action for the Giants after Rashad Jennings went down with a knee injury. Williams played well and will be the feature back as long as Jennings is out.
The Rams lost Zac Stacy to a calf injury and he was replaced by Benny Cunningham who ran the ball well and also some catches out of the backfield. Should Stacy miss any time Cunningham will be the go to RB in St. Louis.
So if you have running back issues, this will be a great week to grab someone off waiver wires to hold you over.
